That’s according to a poll was conducted by Reuters-Ipsos online and questioned 2,809 Americans on threats facing the nation and asked them to rate them on a scale of 1 – 5 with one being no threat and 5 being imminent.
According to the poll Republicans had Obama in the top spot with 34 percent, Putin second at 25 percent and Assad third with 23 percent.
Reuters spoke to sociologist Barry Glassner, author of “The Culture of Fear: Why Americans are afraid of the wrong things.”
