‘Large bags’ of pot mistakenly delivered to kosher grocery store in Crown Heights

CROWN HEIGHTS (PIX11) – An apparent address mix-up led to a major marijuana bust at a kosher grocery store in Crown Heights.

Employees of Kahan’s Superette, at 317 Kingston Ave., called police around 4 p.m. Monday after opening “three large packages” that had been delivered to their address by the US Post Office, police said.

Inside, the employees found mass quantities of the drug concealed in bags which had been coated in peanut butter before being placed in vacuum-sealed bags.

Police seized the marijuana, but still don’t know who sent it nor who it was intended for.

Officers from the 71st Precinct tweeted Monday, “Wrong delivery address results in the seizure of 10 large bags of marijuana wrapped in peanut butter.
