ISIS Terrorists Rape and Impregnate Girls as Young as 9, Force Them to Have Abortions
In the Middle East, doctors are doing illegal abortions on girls as young as nine who were kidnapped and raped by ISIS fighters. The Mirror Online reports that the children are from the Yazidis religious minority community and ISIS kidnapped approximately 40,000 of them at gunpoint in 2014.
In Iraq, thousands of girls were enslaved while others were raped, tortured and forcibly married. Now those girls are being returned home and some of them are pregnant. One 13-year-old girl shared that she was raped repeatedly with one of her abusers trying to get her pregnant. However, she was able to escape by tying bed sheets together and climbing out of a second floor window.
The girl said, “I try not to think about it. When I do, I get hysterical and start throwing things at my family. If I ever saw him, I would like to cut him to pieces.” To make matters worse, the women who have escaped now face being shunned by their strict religious communities.
Another women explained the abuse like this: “I saw in front of my eyes ISIS soldiers pulling hair, beating girls, and slamming the heads of anyone who resisted. They were like animals…. Once they took the girls out, they would rape them and bring them back to exchange for new girls. The girls’ ages ranged from eight to 30 years… only 20 girls remained in the end.”
Tragically, one of the youngest girls was nine-years-old and become pregnant. A Canadian-based social worker said the following about the situation: “This girl is so young she could die if she delivers a baby. Even a caesarian section is dangerous. The abuse she has suffered left her mentally and physically traumatized.”
Unfortunately, these situations are incredibly difficult because the circumstances are unthinkable. But the truth is, abortion only complicates and worsens the conditions for women who’ve been victimized by rape. In fact, numerous medical studies have found that minor women who undergo abortions have a marked increase in substance abuse, suicide, and serious depression as compared to woman who gave birth to their children. One study found that 50% of minor women who had abortions experienced suicide ideation.
As LifeNews previously reported, many women have opened up about abortions they’ve had as minors and what impact it’s made on their lives. Here’s one story of a 16-year-old girl who had an abortion in 1977:
I began to drink heavily and use drugs. I had severe depressions in which I contemplated suicide. I had, and still have, horrible nightmares involving babies and people trying to kill me. I still get depressed and cry a lot. I pray at night that God will let my baby know that I didn’t kill him because I hated him. I long to hold him so much now that it hurts, and I want him to know that.
