New Arab Site Erases Temple Mount’s Jewish Nature

Website by Palestinian Arab journalists warps history from Islamic perspective to claim Mount is exclusive property of Islam.

A group of Palestinian Arab journalists and photographers living in Jerusalem attached to the organization Tickmedia have launched a new website that serves as an archive for the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which warps history from an Islamic perspective to deny Jewish history.

The mosque is built on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the holiest site in Judaism and the location of the First and Second Temple.

The stated goal of the new website, which is titled “,” is to provide information about ancient Jerusalem from amid a struggle to erase the Jewish nature of the Mount.

It uses historical sources such as a book on the mosque by Aref al-Aref, a Palestinian Arab journalist who served as mayor of the eastern part of Jerusalem in the 1950s during the Jordanian occupation of that part of the city, as well as Judea and Samaria.

It also relies on a guide published by the Al-Aqsa Institute, as well as an atlas of the historic sites on the mosque grounds by Abdallah Marof, and a book of history of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by Mohammed Hasham Rusha.

The site includes pictures of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and sites adjacent to it, along with an explanation of their history from an Islamic perspective trying to claim the site is exclusively Muslim, and denying the Jewish nature of the ancient site.
