The Backstreet Boys Arrive in Israel

Pop icons The Backstreet Boys have finally arrived in Israel.

Slated to perform three shows in central Israel this week, the five-member American boy band landed early Sunday morning at Ben Gurion International Airport with a retinue of about 25 people.

Before hitting the Raanana Ampitheater for their first show on Tuesday evening, the band will travel around the Jewish state, visiting known tourist hotspots such as the Sea of Galilee, the Dead Sea, and Jerusalem.

The other two concerts of their In a World like This tour will be held on May 20 and 21, Wednesday and Thursday night, respectively.

Originally scheduled to perform three sold-out shows in Israel last summer, the international superstars were forced to cancel because of Operation Protective Edge.

Writing to fans after backing out of the shows for security reasons, the Backstreet Boys expressed their disappointment at missing out on their “first visit to Israel” and not being able to meet fans.

“We’re already working with the producers on new dates during spring 2015 and will notify everyone about this as soon as possible. Sending lots of love to everyone,” they added.
