This Teacher Told Her Students the Truth About Obama… And Something Shocking Happened to Her
However, there is a growing population of Americans who say Obama’s claims of Christianity are nothing more than a political ruse and that his recent dealings with radical Islamists like the Taliban and Iran’s leaders point toward his true religion.
Nancy Perry, a middle school teach in Dublin, Ga., has been accused of trying to “persuade students about religious or political beliefs” when she stated in March that Obama is not a Christian.
It wasn’t long after she said this that she was removed from her classroom and is now being forced to retire.
“It is not the place of teachers to attempt to persuade students about religious or political beliefs,” Chuck Ledbetter of Dublin Schools said. “In doing so, the teacher was wrong and that has been communicated to her … Just as importantly, we are communicating this message to all staff of the school district.”
Perry was accused of taking her statement a little further than by saying that not only was Obama not a Christian, neither was anyone who voted for him.
Perry reportedly told a local television station she never made these claims.
At any rate, protesting parents got the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People involved and held a meeting to discuss Perry’s alleged comments.
Still maintaining her innocence Perry “presented to the parents a packet of several pages from a website that expressed her views on religion and politics,” according to the NAACP.
“The parents’ concern was exacerbated by the teacher’s unwillingness to even consider the possibility that her classroom conduct was not conducive to a healthy learning environment.”
Perry’s husband Bill was also in attendance at the meeting which only served to make things worse for her due to parents complaining of being “intimidated” by him since he is a school board member and former local radio host (H/T AJC.com).
“An individual board member should not participate in a parent/teacher or parent/principal conference nor should an individual board member in any way attempt to involve himself in a parental concern or a personnel matter at the school level,” Ledbetter said.
“As regrettable as this incident is, we believe that we can build from it to make an even better school system for all of our children,” Ledbetter added. “We will continue to work to build our relationships with every student and with every family.”
Recent reports indicated that Perry has now announced her retirement at the end of this school year.
Apparently, all is takes is one comment about supreme leader Obama and it turns a whole school system upside-down with teacher removals, meetings and countless changes to training and policies in the future. The PC police strike again.
