Sylvester Stallone confirms new Rambo will take on ISIS as he scouts locations in Syria
Sylvester Stallone has confirmed that he is set to shoot a new Rambo, and will take on ISIS in the new action-packed movie.
Stallone, 69, is set to reprise the role of the lethal soldier John Rambo, which has taken the character to Vietnam, Thailand, Burma and Afghanistan.
In the new fifth movie, which is called Rambo V: Last Blood , he is set to head to Syria and face his most menacing enemy yet; ISIS.
“We have teams scouting Iraq and parts of Syria where ISIS have their greatest strongholds,” Stallone announced at Comic-Con.
“We’re working with the locals there to help deliver the most intense and realistic Rambo movie experience ever.”
The new synopsis is a far cry from Stallone’s previous imagining of the new movie, where he said the plot would centre on Rambo taking on the Mexican cartel and be an action-packed “version of No Country for Old Men”.
