Obama Tried To Make Nice With Israel After Iran Deal, But Netanyahu Smacked Him Down By Doing THIS

“The days when the Jewish people remained passive in the face of genocidal enemies, those days are over.”

President Barack Obama is apparently trying to sweeten the bitter pill of the Iranian nuclear deal he is asking Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the people of Israel to swallow.

Netanyahu has called the deal a “stunning, historic mistake.” As reported by Western Journalism, the Israeli leader listed three troubling aspects of the agreement in an interview with NBC News Wednesday:

  1. It lifts economic sanctions against the rogue regime, allowing hundreds of billions of dollars to flow into Iran.
  2. It keeps Iran’s nuclear infrastructure in place.
  3. It gives Iran 24 days to respond to any inspection of facilities by the U.N.

The New York Times reports that following the announcement of the agreement, the president called Netanyahu and offered to increase military assistance to Israel. The Middle Eastern ally receives $3 billion a year (under a current 10 year agreement due to expire in 2018), which it uses primarily to buy U.S. military arms such as fighter jets and missile defense systems. Israel has been in ongoing negotiations with the U.S. to increase its military aid to between $4.2 and $4.5 billion per year for 10 years in a new aid agreement, an official told the Times.

Obama made a similar gesture of increased military assistance to Arab nations in the Persian Gulf region at a meeting at Camp David in May.

A White House official, speaking on a condition of anonymity, stated that Netanyahu refused to engage in talk of increased aid “at this juncture.” Speculation is that he is holding out to see what happens to the Iranian nuclear deal in Congress.
