Liberals Want To Remove “IN G-D WE TRUST”, Check What Chuck NORRIS Just DID
“In God We Trust” was adopted as the official motto of the United States in 1956.
Liberals have expressed objections to its use, and have sought to have the religious reference removed from the currency, but THANK GOS, it’s STILL THERE!!!
“In God we trust” first appeared on U.S. coins in 1864 and has appeared on paper currency since 1957. A law passed in a Joint Resolution by the 84th Congress (P.L. 84-140) and approved by President Dwight Eisenhower on July 30, 1956 declared IN GOD WE TRUST the national motto of the United States.
Secretary of the Treasury Salmon P. Chase told James Pollock, Director of the Mint at Philadelphia, to prepare a motto. He wrote in a letter:
“Dear Sir: No nation can be strong except in the strength of God, or safe except in His defense. The trust of our people in God should be declared on our national coins.
You will cause a device to be prepared without unnecessary delay with a motto expressing in the fewest and tersest words possible this national recognition.
Liberals have tried for century to remove it but we need to stand up and fight!
