Iran And Obama Teaming Up To Test Ballistic Missiles – The Nuke Deal Violations Came Early
There is no dispute over whether or not Iran conducted a test firing of a long-range surface-to-surface ballistic missile over the weekend. The Iranians themselves made the announcement and the Obama regime parroted their declaration.
What is in dispute is the level of Iranian compliance or violations of the nuclear enablement agreement the regime just forced upon the American people. Iran maintains that they have done nothing wrong. According to them, the test does not violate the nuclear deal.
Asked for the official US position on the issue, State Department spokesman and fully programmable Obama mouthpiece John Kirby affirmed that the administration is “aware of reports that Iran is conducting a new round of missile tests. We will take appropriate actions at the United Nations if these tests violate any existing UN Security Council resolution. Those appropriate actions, coupled with $1.35, will get you a cup of coffee at the UN Security Council snack bar and not much else.
Kirby added, “Separately, we remain confident in our ability to defend ourselves and our allies in the region. And we will continue to work closely with our regional partners to boost their capabilities to defend themselves against any threats by Iran.”
The most unfortunate part of that whole “defend ourselves and our allies” shtick is it wasn’t nearly the issue it is now before these jokers decided to bring a flood of conventional weapons, a tsunami of cash and nuclear bombs into the picture. Whatever the supposed level of confidence these despicable traitors may now enjoy, it was exponentially higher before they started playing terrorist Russian roulette using nuclear weapons.
Mr. “Out Of Touch America-Hater,” John Kerry, has affirmed his position in the past that such tests would not constitute a breach of the agreement. It’s hard to challenge his assertions on a secret deal. We are left with the knowledge of extreme secrecy, and the involvement of Iran, Kerry and Obama, as the indicators of just how bad a deal this is for the American people.
Kerry stated in letter to Senator Marco Rubio back in the days before he quit going to work at his Senator job that, “It would not be a violation of the JCPOA [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action] if Iran tested a conventional ballistic missile.” The question of “Why the Hell not?” was never asked. It certainly should have been a violation under any meaningful pact.
Rather than being a component of the agreement as we would have expected, had the “negotiations” not been a foregone surrender, a UN Security Council resolution is the authority of record, outside of the agreement. Kerry wrote, “Since the Security Council has called upon Iran not to undertake any activity related to ballistic missiles designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons, including launches using such ballistic missile technology, any such activity would be inconsistent with the UNSCR and a serious matter for the Security Council to review.”
It’s pretty clear the Iranians are telling the Security Council just where they can stick their threat of a review. They’re not in the least bit intimidated by the prospect of Security Council sanctions. Most members are anxious to get on with the profiteering from the new deal and have no interest in imposing anything. The Iranians went one step further, announcing that they intend to continue violating UN resolutions. Abbas Araqchi, and Iranian diplomat said, “To follow our defense programs, we don’t seek permission from anyone.
Mark Dubowitz, executive director of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, described the situation as a “test case” for the Obama regime. He said, “This is a clear violation of Annex B paragraph 3 of UNSCR 2231 (2015) and a test case for the Obama administration to make it clear to Iran that a violation of UNSCR 2231 will be considered a violation of the JCPOA despite Iranian regime protestations to the contrary.” Dubowitz noted that Iran is prohibited under this resolution from testing missiles and “any activity related to ballistic missiles designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons.”
The Washington Free Beacon also reported that, “The test came several days after Iran’s parliament issued a report declaring that Tehran would violate the JCPOA’s restrictions on weapons. A translation of the report performed by the Foundation for Defense of Democracies noted that the parliament was rejecting U.N. resolutions that are “apparently the JCPOA’s only legal backing.”
We are witnessing UN Matinee Theater. The contents of the agreement have now been shown to be of no consequence. The Iranians and the “American” negotiators are in agreement that the test is not
