ISIS on the run: Putin boasts with glee that Russian air strikes have killed hundreds of terrorists
RUSSIA has said it plans to step up its bombing campaign against Islamic State (ISIS) after claiming it has wiped out HUNDREDS of jihadis in just two weeks.
The ruthless leader claimed the terrorist group is on the verge of collapse after his jets pounded dozens of key command posts and ammunition depots across Syria.
The British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) says that 85 per cent of Russian airstrikes have been targeted at areas with no ISIS presence.

Vladimir Putin made the comments at a meeting of former Soviet states in Kazakhstan
He added that the blitz will continue “for the period of the Syrian troops’ offensive operations against terrorists”.
Russia began its huge bombing campaign in a desperate bid to prop up the regime of brutal dictator Bashar al-Assad – a long-time ally of Mr Putin in a region dominated by regimes friendly to the West.
The country’s jets are currently supporting an attack by Assad’s resurgent army, which is being backed by Hezbollah militants and Iranian fighters
