On Wednesday, Palestinians set fire to the Christmas tree in the West Bank, symbolically marking the territory as Islamic-only and intimidating the few remaining Christians in the area.
The hate crime occurred in the small Christian village of Zababdeh, near the Palestinian-Authority stronghold of Jenin.
Christians have been dwindling in number for decades as Islamic supremacy doctrines and laws reign supreme in Palestinian-occupied territories. Christians now only make up a negligible fraction of residents in the West Bank, just two percent, while Sunni Muslims and descendants of Islamic conquerors make up the vast majority.
