How to peel a boiled egg in just FIVE SECONDS (and you won’t be left with shell on your hands either)

It’s an age-old problem and one which has stumped many a cook – how to shell a hard-boiled egg without getting the skin everywhere.

Now an ingenious hack by Canadian wrestler Ryan Fortin demonstrates a quick and easy method, which means you will never have to deal with broken eggshell littering your worktop, or getting into your food again.

His three-step Instagram video involves swirling a boiled egg in a cup for just five seconds before the skin comes peeling away.


Then shake vigorously, from left to right for five seconds

After approximately five seconds of agitation the shell of the egg will crack.

Now all that is left to do is to pinch away the skin, which slides off easily to reveal perfectly smooth and shelled hard-boiled egg.
