HUGE: ISIS deals terrible blow to Xtianity; world silent
by Allen West
We are in the third week of the new year, and each one has brought us a new Islamic terror attack or action, here in America or abroad. Doggone, we have 49 weeks to go, and you just have to wonder if this will be the new normal? Are we now living in a time when we just accept the existence of Islamic terrorism and not even act under the pretense of doing anything about it? ISIS stated this week that they are the “real reformation” of Islam, as it was intended to be. Hmm, so much for all that ISIS isn’t Islam chatter– they think so. And remember this: the reality of your enemy must become your own, because it will eventually — and not on your terms.
The reality of ISIS is that they are establishing a 7th century Islamic caliphate. They are committing genocide against Christians in the region with their sights on the Jews, and any who do not follow their beliefs, such as the Yazidis. Muslims who don’t accept their purist Islamic vision are the enemy as well. The Shiites are heretics because they don’t comprehend the Sunni philosophy that any Islamic leader must be a true descendant of Mohammad. And any Sunnis who don’t join their band of barbarism shall also be killed.
We often talk about revisionist history, but ISIS has set out to actually erase history. As reported by Fox News, “The Islamic State terror group’s destruction of the oldest Christian monastery in Iraq represents “a battle of savagery against decency,” U.S. Col. Steve Warren told Fox News from Baghdad.
Satellite photos obtained exclusively by The Associated Press confirm the worst fears of church authorities and preservationists — St. Elijah’s Monastery of Mosul has been completely wiped out.
For 1,400 years the compound survived assaults by nature and man, standing as a place of worship recently for U.S. troops. In earlier centuries, generations of monks tucked candles in the niches and prayed in the cool chapel. The Greek letters chi and rho, representing the first two letters of Christ’s name, were carved near the entrance.
“This enemy has proven time and again its ruthlessness, its barbarity, its willingness to destroy everything from human life to civilian supporting infrastructure, to, you know, cultural artifacts, with absolute disregard for history, for humanity, or for anything that approaches decency,” Col. Warren added.
In his office in exile in Irbil, Iraq, the Rev. Paul Thabit Habib, 39, stared quietly at before- and after-images of the monastery that once perched on a hillside above his hometown of Mosul. Shaken, he flipped back to his own photos for comparison. “I can’t describe my sadness,” he said in Arabic. “Our Christian history in Mosul is being barbarically leveled. We see it as an attempt to expel us from Iraq, eliminating and finishing our existence in this land.”
Reverend Habib, please accept my apology because we sit here and do nothing as you watch the purposeful eradication of the ancient historic Christian church — which existed long before Mohammad came up with his visions and converted his first wife Kadisha to a faith which translates to submission.
And that is exactly what we’re doing; submitting to this savagery. We issue condemnations and showed feigned and unrighteous indignation, but we take no actions. Sure, I bet someone will say, we just blew up a warehouse with money — why did we allow ISIS to grow to a point where they had a warehouse of money?
This is what the jayvee team has become. The ancient Christian church of the Assyrians, Chaldeans, and Copts is being eliminated, and we’re doing nothing.
Let me dare to say what needs to be said: imagine what would be happening if Christians in the Middle East were superior and killing Muslims in a horrific manner? And spare me the Crusades line. Pope Urban II would not have called for the Crusades in 1095 if marauding bands of Muslims hadn’t been attacking Christian pilgrims traveling to the Middle East. Pope Urban was well aware of what had happened on the Iberian Peninsula and the invasion that came from across the Mediterranean Sea. And if you don’t
