F*** OFF: Israel refuses to move hunger striking terrorist to Ramallah, Supreme Court rules his life is in his own hands


Israel’s Supreme Court has rejected a hunger-striking Palestinian prisoner’s petition to receive treatment in a Ramallah hospital.

Mohammed al-Qeq, a Hamas sympathizer, is involved in the group’s terrorist activities. The 33-year-old journalist from the Arab village of Dura launched a hunger strike, now exceeding 80 days, on Nov. 24 in protest against his administrative detention.

Administrative detention is a legal measure that allows the defense establishment, primarily the Shin Bet security agency, to hold an individual believed to pose an imminent threat to public safety or the state without trial for up to six months.

Al-Qeq is currently hospitalized in Haemek Medical Center in Afula, in northern Israel. He has refused an Israeli offer to move to a hospital in east Jerusalem, saying Israel could easily detain him again there after being discharged.
