Just in Case: NATO Stockpiles Military Hardware in Norway as a Show of Force Against Russia
In an apparent bid to preserve world peace though indiscriminate displays of superior firepower, NATO uses a series of caves in Norway to store tanks and other military equipment.
The inventory of this ‘supply closet’ includes M1A1 Abrams main battle tanks, artillery systems, amphibious assault vehicles and other assorted gear which will are stored in relatively close proximity to Russia.According to The Local, the military started operating this hidden facility as a storehouse in 1981, although following the end of the Cold War, the US transferred the costs of maintaining the caves to Norway.
Now, however, the complex is bustling with activity again as marines roll out tanks which will likely be deployed during the upcoming Cold Response
