US sells weapons to Turkey it denied to Israel
The Obama administration completed a deal with Turkey for ‘bunker-buster bombs’, the technology required to attack Iranian fortified nuclear facilities, and which was denied to Israel in a purchase request in 2013
According to Jane’s magazine and Defensenews.com, Turkey is to receive an undisclosed number of BLU-109 2,000 lb penetrator bomb parts under a USD682.9 million contract awarded by the US Department of Defense (DoD)
But in 2013, Israel requested a purchase of similar or identical technology and was denied by the Obama administration.
If nothing else, this is yet another data point suggesting that the Obama administration has been working overtime to move the U.S.A. away from its traditional
