A Haifa based biotech firm has discovered a treatment for patients suffering from the effects of radiation. They initially began research in order to prepare for a potential nuclear catastrophe.
Researchers are extracting therapeutic proteins from placenta taken from c-sections and using them to combat exposure to radiation and to reverse organ damage.
