Hasidic Jewish Man Saves Woman From Jumping Off Brooklyn Bridge
On Monday morning, a Chasidic Jew stopped a woman from jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge..
The Hasidic man from Williamsburg is being hailed a hero after saving a 52-year-old Asian woman who tried to jump off the bridge at around 9:55 a.m.
Shloime Kohn was on the bridge and witnessed the attempt so he held her down with the help of other civilians until police arrived. The woman was standing on the edge of the bridge.
Emergency Medical Services transported her to Woodhull Hospital, where she is being treated.
A law enforcement source said she has a history of emotional disturbances.
