Asian Seafood Raised on Pig Feces Approved for U.S. Consumers
Americans people rarely care about the origin of the tasty shrimp they eat. In fact, every year, 8% of the shrimp in the USA (about 100 million pounds) comes from the dirtiest conditions you can imagine. It turns out that USA citizens eat seafood that is raised on pig feces.
This is just one example from Vietnam: There is a big dirty warehouse full of trash and insects. Space is not air-conditioned, even though the climate is tropical. The workers are like slaves, they work too much for minimal earnings. They spend 12 hours every day in packing the “processed” shrimp in dirty plastic tubs with ice made from unhealthy tap water. Even the local Heath Ministry says: „You need to boil the water before consumption in order to prevent contamination“.

“Those conditions are simply unacceptable,” says microbiologist Mansour Samadpour, whose company, IEH Laboratories & Consulting Group, is specialized in testing water for shellfish farming.
Also, there are the tilapia farms in China where farmers feed fish with pig and goose feces.
According to Michael Doyle, the director of the University of Georgia’s Center for Food Safety, the manure which Chinese use to feed fish is contaminated with microbes such as salmonella.
