Denver International Airport main terminal evacuated over security threat
An area of the main terminal at Denver International Airport was evacuated over a security threat Tuesday afternoon, just hours after Islamist terrorists struck Brussels‘ airport terminal.
The evacuation order was being executed by the Denver PD and applied to levels 5 and 6 on the west side of the main terminal, the airport wrote on its official Twitter account.
Flights were continuing, though the airport warned of possible delays for airlines whose ticket counters are in the affected areas, among them American Airlines and Lufthansa.
There was no immediate indication of the precise nature of the security threat or whether it was related to the Brussels airport attack, for which the Islamic State quickly took credit Tuesday.
