Queen Elizabeth Makes Shocking Announcement About Obama… Michelle Must Be Livid
Whenever the president of the United States visits a foreign country, especially an ally, it is traditional for the leaders of that country to meet the president, even if it is only for a few minutes.
The U.K. Daily Mail reported that when President Barack Obama visits England next month, the Queen of England, Elizabeth II, will not rearrange her schedule to meet him. Instead, he will have to come to her.
Obama will travel to Windsor for a lunch, which will be hosted by the queen, where some are worried that Obama will bring up the delicate issue of a potential British exit from the European Union, known as the “Brexit.” Elizabeth’s position on the issue is a hot topic in the U.K.
“President Reagan stayed at Windsor in 1982 and President George W Bush visited the queen at Windsor during his last full year in office in 2008, and, of course, Windsor is the setting for a number of state visits, most recently for the presidents of Ireland and France,” said a palace spokesman, according to The Independent.
