Canadian Families Who Sponsored Muslim Refugees Get SLAPPED In The Face By Trudeau Government
Many Canadian families and groups came together to pay for private sponsored refugees across Canada and are now waiting for answers.
The groups paid estimated amounts of $40,000 to rent and furnish apartments per Syrian family, but now, they are still awaiting for their refugee families they sponsored.
There’s no timeline of when these refugees will be moved into those apartments, the liberals have given no clear answer.
As one family reports on macleans.ca:
“It’s a little bit of a slap in the face,” says Renee Field of Halifax, who is part of a private group that applied to sponsor a husband, wife and their three-year-old son, only to be told it could now take up to eight months to process their paperwork in Turkey. “We were all floored,” says the 46-year-old mother of four. “The government asked us to rally. We rallied, we raised money, and then they shut us down. It is not acceptable.”
$40,000 is a lot of money for many Canadians
