ISRAEL STRIKES: Hezbollah weapons convoy attacked on Syria-Lebanon border
A weapons convoy headed for Hezbollah was attacked on the Syria-Lebanon border on Tuesday, according to Channel 2, which cited Arabic media reports.
The convoy, which was bombed in the area of Anjar in eastern Lebanon, was carrying radar and anti-aircraft systems, the report says. It is not yet known whether anyone was injured in the incident.
Israeli officials have refused to comment on the matter.
A Hezbollah mouthpiece has later dismissed the report as “baseless.”
It was reported at the beginning of the year that Russia had been transferring advanced weaponry to Hezbollah under the cover of the chaos of the Syrian civil war.
