STUPID FROGS: Paris REFUSES to beef up security at airports after EgyptAir crash

PARIS airports have refused to beef up security after the EgyptAir MS804 crash despite workers voicing concern about weak spots.

The Paris airports authority said it has no plans to tighten security after 66 people were killed when the doomed flight came down in the Mediterranean Sea.

As fears about fan safety during the Euro 2016 football tournament, an airline desk officer said identity checks were only “sometimes” carried out at airport entrances because of “budget issues”.


But French transport minister Alian Vidalies insisted the country’s airports are the most secure in the world, saying: “No country in the world has more security at its airports than France.”

Following the atrocities in the French capital on November 13, French aviation expert Gérard Arnoux told French media a terrorist “could place a bomb in a plane” at Charles de Gaulle airport.

An airports authority spokesman said security at French airports had already been stepped up after the Paris attacks last year.

The spokesman confirmed people entering airports were sometimes required to produce identity documents before entering, but this was not done systematically to avoid long queues.

The airport security expert said: “Spot checks of people’s identities are carried out on a random basis.

“We have to strike a balance between security and inconveniencing travellers. “The question is, do you really increase security or are you just moving the risk to another area?”

Identity checks at airport entrances in Brussels were enforced after two suicide bombers blew themselves up in the check-in area at Belgian capital’s terminal in March.
