AIRMAN KIDNAP ATTEMPT: Two Muslims tried to abduct serviceman outside RAF base, part of larger Islamic cell
The two Muslim men armed with knives tried to kidnap a serviceman outside his RAF base. It is now believed the two assailants, who are still at large, are part of a larger group.
It is “increasingly likely” two men involved in an attempted abduction of a serviceman at an RAF base in Norfolk were part of a larger team, police have said.

He was approached by two men and grabbed by one of them. The victim fought off his attacker and when the second suspect, armed with a knife, saw his accomplice on the floor the pair fled in a dark coloured people carrier.
The serviceman was unharmed but “very shaken” by the ordeal.
