BOOM: Black Lives Matter Shows Up in Louisiana, Gets Greeting They Did NOT Expect
As communities in Louisiana struggle to overcome the devastating aftermath of massive flooding, Black Lives Matter, which has claimed to be the voice for black people and their problems, was noticeably missing from help efforts until very recently.
The racially motivated group finally arrived in Baton Rouge to “protest” on behalf of minority communities, but those communities weren’t exactly welcoming to the organization that, just a few weeks ago, stirred up controversy in the same city following the officer-involved shooting of a black man.
Black Lives Matter activists showed up in the city, not to actually help flood victims who have been displaced from their homes, but to “protest” — although what they were planning to protest wasn’t immediately clear.
Many from Louisiana’s black community wasted no time pointing out the hypocrisy of Black Lives Matter.
“This is the most you have done after you (came) and raised hell and stirred up (a) mess … Where are the donations from your organization?” Manolo Espinal asked, according to The Washington Times. “(B)oats to rescue people? Food for the hungry? Where are the marches and protests for the homeless and those who lost everything?”
Another black resident, Charlene Realegeno-Molina, asked what the organization had actually done for the people of Louisiana.
“I guess (black lives matter) only when convenient,” she said.
Facebook user Glory Ford aptly pointed out that the group hadn’t helped the black community in Louisiana because it’s “not part of their concept.”
