ISIS sympathiser shot two policemen in Denmark
The 25-year-old perpetrator behind the shootings at Christiania in Copenhagen, where two policemen were shot on Wednesday, Mesa Hodzic, is apparently connected to the fanatical jihadist group Millatu Ibrahim, that has close links to terrorists from the Islamic State, police said in a press release today.
Here they add, however, that there currently are no indications that his sympathy with IS had influence on the shooting, reports BT.
One of the police officers was shot in the head and is critically injured.
The Muslim perpetrator was arrested Thursday morning, when he again fired at the police, who returned fire. The 25-year-old is therefore badly injured and could not appear in court.
As well as three attempted murders, charges also includes cannabis smuggling and possession of an illegal firearm.
