Muslim Bakery In Indiana Refuses To Apologize For ‘Celebrating’ 9/11
Bassam’s Bakery, a Muslim owned bakery located in South Bend Indiana, is in the midst of heavy criticism after it provided its patrons with free bread throughout the day in celebration of 9/11.
The bakery was founded in 2006 by owner Bassam Muhammad Rahim and is currently one of the only Muslim owned bakeries in Indiana.
According to reports, the small bakery was packed all morning with customers lining-up to claim the free Iraqi Samoon bread that the bakery provided its customers for free in commemoration of 9/11.
The bakery received national attention when several Indiana residents caught wind of the bakery’s Iraqi bread give-away and shared their outrage for the promotion on social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter.
