Video Shows Bloodied Syrian Girl Crying Out For Help After Deadly Airstrikes – Yet World Cares More About Israel Building Homes
A heartbreaking video has emerged from Syria of a bloodied girl crying out for her father in the aftermath of rocket attack on their town.
The girl in the video, Aya, said her family was inside her house in Talbiseh when a rocket hit and part of the ceiling collapsed, Al Arabiya English reports.
The purported attack on the town, north of Homs, took place Monday when two Syrian regime fighter jets made bombing runs in the area. The total number of people dead or hurt was unknown.
The video comes just months after images of Omran Daqneesh, a 5-year-old who was seen covered in dust and blood after a bombing attack in Aleppo, circulated the Internet.
Airstrikes on rebel-held parts of the northern city of Aleppo killed at least 14 people Tuesday, while the shelling of a government-held neighborhood in southern Syria hit a school, killing at least six, including children, opposition activists and state media told The Associated Press.
Syria’s official news agency SANA also reported rare shelling of neighborhoods in the capital, Damascus, including several mortar shells fired by opposition groups based on the edge of the city that landed in the residential Qasaa district and close to the Umayyad Mosque, wounding an unspecified number of people.
